"Mountains stand together, and alone - like us: companions among solitude." This Persian poem by Shamlou is the core of what drew me to Dorna. Art and culture possess a quiet defiance; they bridge the vast distances between us, proving that being scattered across the globe cannot diminish our connection. Born and raised in Tehran, and now living in Los Angeles, my own heart is divided among loved ones scattered across the world. My hope is that Dorna becomes that vital thread which connects us all - the people who find a home in art.
